Electronic Health Records

At Family Eyecare Center we are striving to become completely paperless. This will allow us to talk converse with your other physicians and pharmacies easier and quicker. Going electronic also allows us to save paper, helping out the environment. We utilize Eyefinity electronic health records which allows our patients to contact us through their Patient Portal. The next time you come in, don’t be surprised if you see our technicians and doctors on IPADS!

OCT, Optical Coherence Tomographer, is an imaging system with allows us to visualize each different layer of the retina which we would not be able to see with our naked eye. This machine is important in managing retinal diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Fundus Camera

The Fundus Camera allows us to take a picture of the retina (back of the eye). We can document things like blood, swell spots, freckles, retinal detachments, and other abnormalities. The camera also is a benchmark to look for change. Some of our doctors may ask you to take a photo to start building a library to compare with your future visits!

Corneal Topographer

If you are planning on wearing rigid gas permeable (hard contacts) lenses or have corneal conditions such as Keratoconus or Pellucid, this machine is a must. The corneal topographer maps the curvature of the front part of your eye. This can confirm a diagnosis like the ones mentioned above but can also allow us to properly fit contact lenses like Ortho-K (CRT).
