| Dr. Wan is one of the managing
partners in a Multi-doctor practice in San Jose, California. His emphasis
is total patient care that treats not only the visual system but also
the whole person. Dr. Wan is a local product having graduated from Blackford
High School in San Jose. He received his bachelor's degree from Pacific
University in Oregon and went on to receive his doctor of Optometry from
Pacific in 1983.
Dr. Wan's resume includes being a consultant to such companies as Cooper
Vision, Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb, Alcon Laboratory and
Inspire Pharmaceuticals. He has lectured nationally to hundreds of doctors
and is a published author. He has participated in dozens of contact lens
clinical studies and is considered one of the top contact lens specialists
in the country. Dr. Wan also has extensive background in developmental
Optometry, the study of vision and perception and how it relates to behavior
and learning. Dr. Wan works with each patient personally throughout the
entire vision analysis and correction process. His personable approach
allows you to ask the right questions and his honest, easy to understand
explanations allows you to feel comfortable and to make the right decision
about your eye care.
In addition to his professional activities, he also likes to contribute
to his local community. He recently completed his presidency with Kiwanis
International, a volunteer service organization. Dr. Wan loves life’s
journey and includes such activities as golf, tennis, woodworking, gardening,
hiking, wine making and gourmet cooking.
